How this bracket works
- Winners bracket: 23 games — Same seeding as single elimination — but one loss here drops you into the losers bracket, not out.
- Losers bracket: 22 games — The second chance. Lose here and you're eliminated; winners keep feeding back toward the final.
- Grand final + reset — The winners' bracket champion meets the losers' bracket champion. If the losers' bracket champion wins, they play one reset game for the title.
- 8 byes — The winners bracket is padded to 32 slots; 8 top seeds skip round 1.
Rules cheat sheet
- Two losses to be eliminated: the first drops you to the losers bracket, the second ends your run.
- Grand final reset: if the losers' bracket champion wins the final, they play one more game for the title.
- Fill it online (click teams) or print the blank sheet and fill by hand.
- Running a pool? Share one link and collect picks — scores update automatically.
FAQ
How many games are in a 24-team double elimination bracket?
Between 46 and 47 games: 23 in the winners bracket, 22 in the losers bracket, plus the grand final (and a reset if the losers' bracket champion wins it).
How many byes does a 24-team bracket have?
8 byes. The bracket is padded to 32 slots, so 8 top-seeded teams skip round 1 and 8 games are played in the opening round.
How are teams seeded and paired?
Standard seeding: the 32-slot bracket is filled so the strongest seeds meet the weakest — 16 vs 17, 9 vs 24, 13 vs 20, 12 vs 21, …. Seed 1 and seed 32 sit at opposite ends.
Can I print this bracket?
Yes — use the Print button. The print output is a clean black-and-white line drawing that fits Letter or A4 paper in landscape. No sign-up, no watermarks.
